The Rotary Club of Norfolk is the largest Rotary Club in Hampton Roads. Our membership is diverse and includes well-known pillars of the Hampton Roads community. In addition to numerous community service activities serving local non-profits, including the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Salvation Army, The Rotary Club of Norfolk’s Norfolk Rotary Charities makes grants to local non-profit organizations annually for the purpose of serving the diverse needs of our community here in Hampton Roads.

Norfolk Botanical Garden, the largest botanical garden inVirginia, offers 175 acres of spectacular gardens that can be toured by foot, boat or tram. The mission of Norfolk Botanical Garden is to immerse visitors in a world of beauty, lead through environmental action and inspire through education and connection to nature.

All District Reads partners with schools and participating communities to encourage reading aloud in households and classrooms of all Kindergarten through 5th grade students, with special advantages for low-income students. The ADR reading program provides a shared reading experience within homes to promote literacy and create a passion for reading.

Children born into poverty face numerous challenges, including a deficiency in literacy skills. Research indicates that children raised in households with books gain a significant edge compared to those who do not have access to books.
